Air Fryer Chicken

(Air Fryer Fried Chicken)


  • 3 pieces (1 lb.) medium-sized Chicken thigh with bone *
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper powder
  • ½ tsp kashmiri chili powder
  • ½ tsp coriander powder
  • ½ tsp garam masala
  • ¼ tsp turmeric
  • ¼ tsp red chili flakes
  • 1 tbsp corn oil or vegetable oil


  • Wash chicken in vinegar and salt. Rinse well and drain the water.
  • Make 2 slits across the chicken thigh.
  • For the Masala mix - Add all spices together and mix. Then add 1 tablespoon oil and mix again.
  • Spread masala mix onto the chicken pieces all over and rub into the slit.**
  • Use non-stick spray or rub a little oil on the foil or the basket to prevent sticking.
  • Place marinated chicken into the air fryer basket.
  • Set the air fryer to 370° and cook for 15 minutes on one side.***
  • Flip chicken pieces over and cook again for 8 more minutes.
  • Cut a small piece of the chicken at the thickest part to make sure the inside is cooked through. If it looks pink, cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Remove from air fryer and let rest on a plate.
  • Air Fryer Chicken is ready to eat! Enjoy.



Air Fryer Chicken can be eaten with any side dish, salad, rice, mashed potatoes, veggies or by itself.
*You can also use boneless/skinless chicken breast, or drumstick, as well.
**You may marinate chicken in refrigerator 20-30 mins or you can use it right away.
***Temperature will vary by air fryer. Adjust according to the directions of your air fryer.
Optional: Add a foil piece to the bottom of the air fryer basket to catch oil for easy clean up.
