Diamond Cuts - Spicy

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • ¼ teaspoon asafoetida
  • 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
  • ¼ cup water or more, if needed
  • 2 cups oil for frying


  • Make a dough with the above ingredients.
  • Set aside for 10 minutes.
  • Divide the dough into four balls.
  • Roll out the dough balls into a thin sheet.
  • Cut into diamond shapes.
  • Heat the oil for frying.
  • Fry the cut diamond shapes until slightly golden and crisp.
  • Serve when cool.
